2024 Market Box Overview

Thank you for another incredible season of our Market Box delivery program. We’re happy that our deliveries continue to be enjoyed by so many of you, and we look forward to joining you each week in eating our farm fresh food for 2024.

Much will remain the same this season, but there are a few updates. Please read our 2024 Details and FAQs thoroughly to be sure you understand where we’re heading!

The 2024 Market Box will once again be offered for 28 weeks: 7 months, 4 weeks per month. A more detailed outline of the timeline is included at the end of this overview. The Market Box will be delivered directly to your door once a week, with no contact required. Delivery is included. We will continue to utilize our upgraded delivery notification system this season, which worked very well for us in 2022 & 2023, and offered a much smoother and more detailed customer service experience.

This year, there will again be 2 registration options: upfront in-full payment, or a monthly subscription. Either way, there will be 3 size options.

Annual Subscription

If you know you want a box full of farm fresh produce every week for the full Market Box season, and you know what size works for your household, this is your best bet!

Small: valued at $113.55/month, $794.90/season ($28.40/week)

In addition to the discount, all Annual Subscribers will receive a copy of our 2024 Community Cookbook. This resource will be emailed to you by early April!

Monthly Subscription

For 2024, the monthly Market Box will again be a true subscription. When you sign up for the first month of delivery of the season, your credit card will be charged. After that, your subscription will automatically renew every 4 weeks for 7 months, with an automatic payment being processed every 4 weeks. Please note that this automatic renewal date is based on your initial subscription date (i.e. If you register for May on April 25th your renewal for the month of June will be processed on May 23rd).

However, if you wish to discontinue your subscription for a month, you can send us an email following your automatic renewal, and we can manually issue a refund for the month. That way your overall subscription will remain intact and will continue to renew for future months without interruption.

Alternatively, you can head to the subscription tab, and click “cancel subscription.” Want to join in again? Head back to our 2024 Market Box Shop and purchase the subscription again. You will then be charged every 4 weeks for the remainder of the Market Box season.

Market Box Contents

Whether you go the full season or monthly subscription route, you will receive one Market Box per week full of our farm fresh produce. An overview of what you can expect to see each month can be found over on our FAQ page.

To help with your grocery & meal planning, a detailed description of Market Box contents will be emailed out each week, along with menu inspiration and a seasonal recipe developed by on-farm Registered Dietitian Alex Chesney. This will be sent by Sunday afternoon.

Beef & Flower Subscription

For the 2024 season we are very excited to be introducing Beef and Flower subscriptions, in addition to our produce-filled Market Box. Both will also be available for annual and monthly subscriptions.

Box of Beef Subscription Details, Sizes, & Pricing

Small Box of Beef will contain:

• 2 x 1 lb. packages lean ground beef

• 1 x 1.5 lb package burgers (4 x 6oz patties)

• 4 steaks

• Total ~8 lbs beef / month

Annual Subscription: valued at $105.50/month, $738.65/season

For all sizes, steak selection will include (but is not limited to) a mix of:

• Ribeye

• Rib

• Sirloin

• Sirloin tip

• Striploin

• T-Bone

• Tenderloin

Steak selection will rotate from month to month depending on season & availability.

Flower Jar Subscription Details & Pricing

A one-time, up-front payment, securing you three months of weekly flower delivery.

Each week from July through September (Months 3 – 5), 1 jar of flowers will be delivered to your door. These flower jars will contain a selection of flowers grown & harvested on-farm. Sunflowers, zinnias, cosmos, dahlias, and more will be included!

This would also make for a perfect gift for a friend or family member. Order ahead for a birthday, Mother’s Day, or a just-because gift!

1 jar per week = 12 jars total x $12 / week = $144 + tax

$130 + tax if purchased before the end of March (10% discount)

Market Box Add-Ons

Each month we will also offer a variety of add-ons, which will be available for delivery alongside your Market Box for an additional cost. Add-ons include items like flats of berries, cases of tomatoes, bags of onions, preserves, and baked goods from our Farm Kitchen as well as our own frozen Black Angus Beef. Items are available according to the season.

Add-on orders for the following week close each Friday at midnight. This ensures we have time to create detailed harvest and pack lists for our team. Please be mindful of this timeline when planning your orders!

Delivery Area

We deliver Market Boxes all the way from London and area to East Toronto. A general map is outlined below:

Delivery Schedule

Deliveries are made between Tuesday and Friday, starting between 6 and 7am and finishing by early to mid-afternoon.

The delivery schedule is created each month to account for changes in subscribers. We will do our best to keep the schedule consistent, but there may be some changes. The final schedule will be announced in early May, but for now here is a *very general* overview, based on the previous season’s schedule:

Tuesday: Oxford County, Brant County, London & area, Stratford & area

Wednesday: Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, Brampton

Thursday: Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Mississauga, East York, Scarborough

Friday: Etobicoke, North York, Midtown Toronto, Downtown Toronto

We have invested in updated delivery notification software and used it throughout the 2022 and 2023 seasons. It was very well received, and we are excited to continue to utilize it throughout 2024. You will receive a delivery notification via text and/or email the night before your delivery heads out as well as the morning of once our drivers hit the road. A live tracking link will also be provided, as well as a countdown of stops before you. Although this system is very accurate overall, we do occasionally still run into delays or changes based on traffic and road closures. We do our very best to keep you updated if this happens!

Delivery Instructions

If you are ordering a Market Box or stand-alone delivery, please specify your delivery instructions. Please be as specific as possible! If you are purchasing an add-on, write 'same as Market Box'. Your add-on order will be paired with your weekly delivery.

For Market Box, Beef, and Flower subscription customers, your delivery instructions will export alongside your renewal each month, so be sure to include all necessary details. If you need to make any major changes, you will have to contact us. It may be necessary to cancel your subscription & re-subscribe to ensure the instructions are up to date.

If you need to cancel your subscription, please try to do so prior to your automatic renewal date. This date will be slightly different for everyone, depending on when you first subscribed.

Cancellation can be done manually up to the monthly deadline, but a refund will have to be issued if your renewal has already been made.
