SEASONAL STAFF

    Joining the Thames River Melons team will guarantee you a fall full of adventure. You will have the opportunity to work outdoors and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine and share the excitement and joy of locally grown produce with our customers.

    We are looking for seasonal staff members to work at farmers’ markets, at pop-up roadside fruit stands, and doing food prep in our farm kitchen and our farm food truck.

    • Market days begin around 4:30am, ~12 hour shifts, 3-5x/week (to be discussed further)

    • We also require staff for our pop-up roadside fruit stands, Farm Kitchen, Farm Food Truck, and between hours of 8am - 8pm daily

    • Must be available to work Saturdays, but opportunities for work on every other day of the week as well

    • Shifts begin the last week of August

    • Consistent work available until Halloween

    • We welcome and encourage students to apply

    Compensation: Minimum wage

DELIVERY DRIVER

  • Delivery Drivers are responsible for the safe, accurate, and professional delivery of farm products to customers. This role ensures orders are delivered on time, customer instructions are followed carefully, and delivery documentation is completed accurately.

    What we’re looking for:

    • Positive attitude and work ethic

    • Available for full fall season:

    • ~12 weeks, Sept - mid-Nov

    • Full G-license required, D-license an asset

    • Team player who’s also comfortable working independently

    • Experience driving a sprinter/cargo van and/or box trucks

    • Detail-oriented and organized

    Responsibilities:

    • Gather required delivery materials and load the correct vehicle with the appropriate items

    • Follow navigation directions and follow through the necessary steps for delivery (verifying address, sanitization, following customer instructions, collecting empty boxes, etc.)

    • Ensure all deliveries are accurate and complete; track and report all delivery issues, missing items, or customer concerns

    • Maintain professionalism and represent the farm positively in all customer interactions

    Reporting:

    This role will be independent but requires frequent check-ins with supervisors and other upper management employees. Support and guidance are readily available.

    Location & Working Conditions:

    • On-site pick-ups at Thames River Melons, 765875 Township Road 5, Innerkip ON

    • Variety of homes across Southwestern Ontario

    Compensation: $18/hour

    • Experience driving sprinter/cargo vans or box trucks a definite asset

    • Experience driving on 400-series highways

    • Full G-license required

    • D-license an asset
